VIRAL The Short Film… "A Magnum Med Jawn"

The event at the Plaza Cinema on January 29th was a night to remember and will go down in history as an unforgettable experience for all involved.

VIRAL The Short Film… "A Magnum Med Jawn" written, produced, and directed by Ahmed 'Magnum' Lindsay is one of today's most "Real Viral" short films today. This short film tells the story of how two young men seeking attention and social media fame make regrettable decisions and experience extreme consequences for their actions.  

This film was written and filmed almost 5 years ago, though it took 5 years to finish it still touches on one of the most relevant topics of our day and culture. VIRAL The Short Film star two up-and-coming actors in one of their first film projects, Shalom C. Obiago & Pierce Williams. Shalom C. Obiago is an actor who plays on shows such as BMF, Atlanta, Black Hamptons, and P-Vally, and his co-star Pierce Williams is a published print model and an actor playing on shows such as American Horror Story and Step Up.

perfect blend of entertainment and education, ‘VIRAL’ left film fans inspired and encouraged them to explore independent films further. Guests could also walk away with some special VIRAL-themed photos from the red carpet and step & repeat, making it a truly unique event that is sure to be remembered for years to come.  The success of this screening proves there is still a place for quality independent films in today's world, something that Ahmed 'Magnum' Lindsay is proud of. Guest had an opportunity to ask questions about their roles in the movie and learn from the cast & crew how they prepared for their characters. During the Q&A, Ahmed 'Magnum' Lindsay spoke about how he wanted the audience to see his character’s complexity and journey, which resonated with many of those present.

A diverse crowd attended the screening, including film industry professionals, influencers, media personalities, up-and-coming actors/actresses, producers, directors, and more.
